valentine shopping

Planning on shopping at a sex shop for V-day? Do yourself a favor with these tips:

1. Know what generally works for your partner/friend/date. We can’t help you find the perfect gift unless you can give us a clue. Bonus: ask them to go “window shopping” with you online or in person, and then you can surprise them with something that’s sure to please.

3. Shop early, especially if you want to ask lots of questions. Our busiest days start the weekend before Valentines Day. Get in before that to have a relaxed shopping experience.

4. Get something for you to enjoy, too. Whether you have an intimate partner or not, everyone needs a little something special to treat themselves.

5. Have absolutely no idea what to get them? A gift card is perfect. Sex toys are not “one size fits all”, and a gift card can help make sure that they get what they really want.

6. Lube is a perfect addition to every toy purchase; even if you don’t usually use it, it can add a sexy bit of extra slippery fun! Throw in a toy cleaner for quick cleanup (which is especially helpful if your celebration include a hotel room…hint hint!).

7. If you buy a rechargeable toy, charge it up for the recommended amount of time before your sweetie opens the box, so you can enjoy it as soon as they like. If you buy a battery operated toy, pick up extra batteries and have them handy!

8. Indulge in a little something different – if you’re a whips-and-chains person, try an edible body oil, and vice versa. Sometimes the novelty can help us shake up the celebration and drive it to a whole new level.

9. Don’t forget – the packaging is just as important! Wrap up their gift in a sexy pair of undies, or a new jock strap, or the hankie color that they flag! Pop the cock ring over the neck of a bottle of champagne. Get creative and make the presentation part of the fun.

10. Buy three times the safer sex supplies than you think you need. Because nobody wants to be unprepared…especially with a three day weekend!
