Phantasmagoria – a form of theatre which used a modified magic lantern to project frightening images such as skeletons, demons, and ghosts onto walls, smoke, or semi-transparent screens, frequently using rear projection. I’ve loved this word since before I even knew what it meant. So fun to say!

Onomatopoeia. Also commonly mispronounced, which is a little ironic.

My favorite word is a Croatian one that I have never seen spelled, and is possibly a corruption. So, I’ll go with cudgel.

My all time favorite and most used word is “irie” (I-rie \I ‘ -ree). It’s the word in Jamaican Patois meaning “alright” but also is used to describe something that is excellent, pleasing, or to describe a state of feeling great and at peace with yourself. Each letter itself in the word can also represent this phrase: I Respect I Eternally which I hold onto everyday to mean respect yourself and be happy with who you are. When people are feeling down I always tell them “Sending positive vibes your way, stay irie my friend!”
