amorino pink

Update: Congratulations to Jacquie, who won the Amorino! Thanks to everyone who shared their stories. You made us laugh, feel nostalgic, and also feel glad that we’re adults now.

We’re giving away a Fun Factory Amorino!

You’ll fall in love with this unique vibe, shaped like Cupid’s bow to hug your body’s curves. On its own, the vibe is a top notch dual stimulation toy, ergonomically designed to hit the G-spot and the clit at once, and even safe for anal play. Add the detachable silicone band, and the toy wraps around the entire vulva, transmitting rumbling vibration to the inner labia and the often-neglected clitoral legs. The Amorino is fully waterproof, totally non-porous, and comes with a two year warranty.

Oh, and it’s gotten rave reviews from our staff.

Want to win an Amorino? Here’s how.

In the comments below, tell us about your first big crush. (You can also tell us your most entertaining store about having a crush. It’s not like we’re going to fact check.) We’ll pick a winner at random on Tuesday, July 1st at noon PST.

U.S. residents only.

his name was toby and he lived across the street from me. he drove a chocolate brown vw bus, wore tye dye, skateboarded, snow boarded, and had ice blue eyes. i was 14 and he was 22 and i was friends with his little sister and she would tell me all about her amazing brother and i just soaked it all in, in the way only an obsessive 14 year old can. i totally started wearing daisies and hippy inspired gear, hoping he would notice me and be so swept away with how perfect for him i was…and we would ride off into the sunset in his bus. looking back, that would have been some lolita shit had anything ever happened with him. i remember trying to flirt with him and him gently exiting the conversation; i didn’t get it, i though i was so alluring. i was always in a state of longing and would write songs and poems about toby and his blue eyes and perfect calves.

Brian No. Second grade. He wrote out a bunch of NES cheat codes on a piece of ruled paper and gave it to me. I was his forever.

My first crush was on a neighbor boy. I can’t even remember his name. I was about 13 and he was 16 and in retrospect he was not all I imagined him to be, but I prefer to embrace the fond memory! He was tall and blonde and handsome and seemingly very bored by the suburban wasteland his parents had moved him to. One summer day, sitting in a plum tree, we played dare. I dared him to kiss me. He tried to ignore me at first and came up with some other ideas. But I egged him on. Until finally he did, and became my often forgot first kiss–tight lipped, dirty, sweaty, and unromantic amongst the purple leaves of an August evening.

My first crush goes way back to grade school, maybe ten years old, and at the time I didn’t even know that it was a “crush”. See I was still completely unaware of my budding queerness and just knew that Amy was pretty and her hair was perfect, (and so were her green eyes… and her freckles…) and I wanted to be her best friend. Turns out friendship wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, who knew? Anyway, I remember this one night, I was invited over to a friends for a sleepover and Amy was there, we hadn’t spoken much but I made it my mission to be her friend by the end of the night. Slowly I started talking to her more and more and the end of the night she was curled up next to me on her sleeping bag and I was absolutely thrilled!

P.S. I’m still that same awkward 10 year old when I see a pretty girl…. some things never change.

My first crush… Okay, this is weird but my first crush was Pharaoh from Yu-Gi-Oh! Not Yu-Gi himself mind you, it was only Pharaoh. Turns out I have a thing for deep male voices *giggles and hides face*

My first real crush was on a guy named Jon. He was a total dork, and I loved everything about him. I was three years younger, but he never treated me differently for it. He played the guitar and bass, and was quiet and shy like I was. We both had feelings for each other for a while, but he didn’t feel like we were meant to be together. When he told me about a girl he had been dating, my heart was broken. I cried, and cried, just knowing I would never be happy without him. Fortunately, I was able to find happiness…but I’ll never forget him…

Her name was Caitlin and I had yearned at her from afar all year in English class. We were both in the marching band and traveled to Florida to play in one of those massive 100 band halftime shows on New Years Eve. After the game, all of the bands gathered for a big dance/ NYE party. I finally worked up the courage to ask her to dance and we had the clumsiest most awkward slow dance I can remember. I didn’t work up the courage to kiss her, and we never really talked again even though we had several classes together over the years.

His name was Marcus and we went to the same elementary school. I’m pretty sure he didn’t even know who I was.

My first crush was Macaulay Culkin in “My Girl.” I was devastated by the ending and later crushed on a boy who looked kind of like him. The blonde hair preference stuck around.

I had a crush on a boy from school in 3rd grade, and I used to chase him around the playground and make him kiss me.

David, second grade. He had these really long eyelashes. It was totally unrequited. I still see him around once in a while…he didn’t really age that well, but turned out to be an okay guy.

I had so many crushes when I was young it was kind of ridiculous. The first crush I remember was when I was 5 on a boy I’d grown up with. My mother had known his mother when they were pregnant with the two of us and we grew up close and then went to the same preschool and then K-8. When my older sister and mother asked why I liked Stephen I said it was because we both had blonde hair and brown eyes and so obviously we were perfect for each other. They found this hilarious. He is now in an amazing relationship with one of my good friends after I introduced them and they are actually perfect for each other.

I didn’t know it was a crush until we were kissing on the floor during a Valentine’s Day sleepover.

My first crush is a bit hard to place for me. I didn’t get what it felt like to have one, but I think I tended to get that for my best friend. The one that I knew for sure was a crush was my best friend I met in high school. We stayed close even after she moved, and the times I got to see her were just the best.

During one of those times together, I realized that I loved her, making her the first person I fell in love with. I never told her though, since I thought she was straight. That didn’t turn out to be the case, when she started dating a girl she met online. I still remember when she called up her mom to come out to her, and her mom asked if she was dating me.

That did eventually come true at least, we ended up as friends with benefits, then into a grey area as to what exactly we were, and last month I told her how I actually felt, and we became official. So now my first real crush and love is now my first girlfriend, and I’m so damn happy about it.

my first real crush was on my first grade teacher! She was a Japanese lady very nice and polite and pretty. Every time she came around me I made it a point to drop my pencil on the floor and look up her skirt, I was 7 years old. Turns out I had a thing for Japanese girls because ow my current girlfriend 20 years later is. LOL

It had to be Ash Ketchum, which reminds me, my first crush happened either pre-kindergarten or during. I was a baby falling for a cartoon.

My first crush on a person I did not know in real life: Julie from Season One of The Real World. My first crush on a person I knew in real life, or at least the first crush that hurt my tummy enough to linger as a memory: Lindsay S., who wrote poetry and liked Nirvana.

Gotta be real about this, my first crush was Matthew Broderick. I thought he was so adorable and boyishly cute. When we had a summer home, I even had a picture of him from Biloxi Blues on the door to my room. My sister had a thing for Val Kilmer and our big argument was over who was cuter. And hey, I’m 24 now and *still* think he’s pretty cute! A couple years later, when I was maybe seven or eight, I fell hard for John Travolta. That one was my mom’s fault. We used to go see all his movies in the theater and drag my poor dad and brother with. I even had a biographical photobook of him that I was very attached to.
