Want to Win an Aneros Helix Syn?
Tell Us What to Read.

aneros helix syn

Update: Congratulations to les, who won the Helix Syn! We hope that you enjoy Ageless Erotica as much as we’re enjoying Naked at Our Age! Thanks, everyone, for your recommendations! Keep an eye out for another great Aneros giveaway.

We’re giving away an Aneros Helix Syn!

Aneros made their popular Helix design even better by adding a velvet-touch silicone skin. It has the same solid inner frame and ergonomic shape for maximum, hands-free prostate pleasure, but the perineum tab is more flexible, allowing for longer-term wear. The soft coating also covers the perineum tab, for added comfort.

Want to win a Helix Syn? Here’s how.

Summer is the perfect time to relax with a book in the shade, and we’re looking for recommendations. (Right now, we’re reading Naked at Our Age by Joan Price for our staff book club.) In the comments below, tell us what to read next!

We’ll pick a winner at random on Monday, August 25th at noon PDT.

U.S. residents only.

I’m UK-based so if I win I have a US-friend who would adore an Aneros (I love mine!)

But my recommendation for reading would be Named and Shamed by Janine Ashbless. A fantastically hot tale of sizzling sex between humans, goblins and all manner of fantastic creatures. It is the hottest book I have ever read. Utterly amazing!

I would recommend reading Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler. It is an amazing book that changed my life. I have read it at least 10 times, so far! Here is a brief summary “When unattended environmental and economic crises lead to social chaos, not even gated communities are safe. In a night of fire and death Lauren Olamina, a minister’s young daughter, loses her family and home and ventures out into the unprotected American landscape. But what begins as a flight for survival soon leads to something much more: a startling vision of human destiny… and the birth of a new faith”

That sounds amazing! I’ve read some Octavia Butler, but somehow I haven’t picked that one up yet.

An Intimate Life: Sex, Love, and My Journey as a Surrogate Partner by Cheryl T. Cohen-Greene.
I am an advocate for the legalization of prostitution the reason being is that often people with disabilities and other social restrictions are unable to receive a personal touch and attention of another person and surrogates and sex workers often open the door for that human communication and human connection. This book explores the journey of a sexual surrogate the people that she’s coming contact with.

That definitely sounds like it should be on our reading list. Thanks!

If you like m/m (or think you might!): Damon Suede’s HOT HEAD is the gorgeously written tale of Griff, a heretofore straight NYC fireman (who realizes he’s in love with his womanizing best friend Dante. When Dante gets into financial trouble, he starts doing solo shoots for a gay-for-pay site and then wants Griff to appear there too–with him. It would be good without the sex, but the erotic content is so blazingly hot that it’s beyond belief. I’ve never read a book that makes me gasp and blush on every rereading (I’ve read it four times and listened once to the audiobook so far)…just insanely good. Eden Winters’ DIVERSION features an intriguing, underused premise (pharmaceutical smuggling) and the most lovably wiseassed antihero ever.

If you like m/m/f menage: Tara Lain’s Genetic Attraction series is a gem. DECEPTIVE ATTRACTION is especially cool because it deals with gray areas of gender, and it’s so thought-provoking. (She writes really sexy m/m, too.) All her books have incredibly lovable characters who really desire each other–none of those mind games that put me off some other menages. She deals with some heavy themes, but always with a light and fun touch that makes her books such uplifting reads. They’re all about embracing difference, not just accepting difference. And they all feature yummy guys boffing in glorious ways (and/or gettin’ schooled by a gal who knows the score)–what could be better?

If you like comics (and gay sex): Tom Bouden’s IN BED WITH DAVID AND JONATHAN is just a masterpiece–
dirty as hell yet romantic and sweet. Bouden is Belgian, so it’s probably no coincidence that his characters look like they’re from some perverted Tintin book. I love it! Dale Lazarov’s STICKY (vignettes) and GOOD SPORTS (interracial athlete lovin’) are wonderful, too.

If you like BDSM (and gay sex): Josephine Myles’ THE HOT FLOOR is a surprisingly touching (yet fun) tale of a gee-whiz guy who falls in with the male couple of his dreams, and the complications that arise. It’s sweet but not glamorized, frank but not prurient. And it feels so real. Myles’ SCREWING THE SYSTEM is equally good, about a young, aimless musician and a businessman who deal with their attraction to each other. There’s a great bratty sub/patient Dom thing going on, and again, the scorching sex…

    I know I’m forgetting some…

Kushiel Legacy series by Jacqueline Carey. There is bdsm, smut, epic fantasy, alternate history, all wrapped up in a surprisingly amazing package. The first 3 books follow a female sub. The next 3 follow a male dom who has to come to terms with his desire to be a dom. Which is all just backstory to the wars being waged over kingdoms. Perhaps the best part is that rape in anathema in their world. There is absolutely zero of the usual abusive patterns and manipulation. Not to say bad things don’t happen, but they are fully acknowledged as bad things.

I read the first one a while ago and meant to go back to the series. Now I really want to! I hadn’t thought about how neat it was that, even when the interpersonal relationships were fraught, mind games, abuse and assault never equaled romance. Way cool.

I’m currently reading “New Watch” by Sergei Lukyananko. It’s the 5th book in a series that started with “Night Watch”. Its a good scifi/fantasy series. Be aware that it was originally written in Russian and the translation can get awkward at times.
