Bachelorette Basics

1

by thepleasurechest

Why let guys have all the fun? A bachelorette party is the bride’s last hurrah. Here are some tips for sending her off in style.

Location! Location! Location!

Depending on your guest of honor and her friends, your party can take many shapes. Will you have an intimate dinner party? Or a wild night of bar hopping and strip clubs? Will you be in a hotel or cruising in a limo? This is all up to you and your guests. If you’re looking to make the night interesting and educational, you may want to consider a Pleasure Chest workshop.

pecker balloonsParty Supplies

Whether you’re having a house party, hitting a strip club or taking over the local bar (or all three!), you’re gonna need supplies. Here are some essential party items:

• Your first priority is to get a Bachelorette Party Banner to identify your turf.

• You can’t have a party without balloons. Get these Naughty Party Balloons for decorating your space or announcing your presence wherever you go.

• Stand out! This is your chance to make a scene. The Pecker Whistles will tell everyone who’s in your party, and will help you find each other in crowded bars.

• To make drinking extra naughty, don’t forget the Dicky Straws. Or if you prefer, there are these drink stirrers that help put the cock back in cocktail!

• Get some Bachelorette Party Plates, Bachelorette Party Napkins and penis-shaped Pecker Partyware Utensils for serving your cake and other treats.

• Oh, and about that cake. For extra fun, get the Pecker Cake Pan. Are you sensing a theme here?

scavenger huntGags & Games

A bachelorette party can sometimes end up like a childhood game of Truth or Dare, except with booze, and much naughtier results.

Help break the ice with Dare to Do it Activity Cards. There are 52 different imaginative dares, sure to keep the party interesting. If truth is more your style (or if your guests aren’t already BFFs) try breaking the ice with a classic: I’ve Never.

Or, if you really want to cause a scene, try the Bachelorette Scavenger Hunt and let your guests compete to see who can rack up the most outrageous accomplishments in one night.

If you’d like to try something that requires a bit more motor skill, there’s always Mr. Party Pecker Strap-On Ring Toss, a XXX variation on ring toss that will get your guests on their feet and giggling. We think it would make a great drinking game.

And, just in case you don’t meet any willing men during your night on the town, bring along the Inflatable John Doll. He’ll attract lots of attention, but won’t try to chat you on Facebook the next day. Simply deflate him until the next party! If the bachelorette digs women, there’s also the Inflatable Judy Doll. But don’t you think it would be nice to buy the bride a lapdance too?

Gifts for the Bride to Be

A bachelorette party isn’t just her last night as a single lady. It can also be an opportunity to send her off with the right gear to have a happy married sex life. Here are some ideas for gifts that will make her honeymoon extra special.

• Games. From classic sexy dice to teasing tips, games are a great way for a couple to try something new. We love Let’s Play Doctor for some fun with role play.

IOU Sex Coupons. These are fun little books filled with coupons that can be redeemed for sexual favors. This bedroom currency will keep the newlyweds coming long after they’ve come down the aisle.

• Toys & Things. There are so many great toys for couples, but the best one hands down is the We-Vibe 4, an awesome body-safe silicone vibrator designed to be worn during intercourse. If sex toys are a bit too intimate, there are always romantic bedroom supplies like the Jimmyjane Afterglow Massage Candles. These are made of natural plant oils, and burn at a lower temperature than wax. They’re perfect for drizzling on the skin and giving an erotic massage.

• Books. The guest of honor has a long life of exploring sex with her partner. Nina Hartley’s Guide to Total Sex is the definitive manual for a whole range of sexual activities, written by one of the best sex educators in the world.

Kiss My Ass: Rimming & Analingus

2

by thepleasurechest

Let’s face it. Butts are sexy. Buttholes are sexy. Anal sex is all the rage, but few people will dare explore or discuss the fine art of analingus. And that’s a damn shame, because a well-executed rimjob is a thing of joy. Let’s dive in together.

Why rim?

The answer is simple. The anus is full of nerves just waiting to be stimulated. It likes to be kissed, just as much as the rest of your body. If you already enjoy putting a finger, a cock or a dildo in your bum, then you can only imagine the divine pleasure of an ardent rimjob. In fact, rimming is great for anal sex beginners. It can be an excellent way to get your partner in the mood for more advanced anal play. It helps awaken sensitivity and literally lubes them up. You can learn more about analingus in the DVD Tristan Taormino’s Expert Guide to Anal Sex. Her Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women also makes great bathtub reading. Oh yeah, about bathing…

Wash It!

If you’re going to ask someone to stick their tongue in your butt, show them the courtesy of making it nice and clean for them. Often, a bath is all you need, and a shared bath before anal fun makes for great foreplay, while helping both partners to relax.

If you’d prefer to just dive in, you should keep some clean wipes handy. Pjur Med Wipes are absorbent and alcohol-free, and they kill most bacteria, fungi and viruses. They’re ideal for quick and easy bedside hygiene.

Although it’s not really necessary, some people prefer to do a deeper cleaning. In this case, you may want to try an anal douche or an enema. Enemas can be enjoyable, whether the goal is hygiene, sensation or as part of a medical play scene. The Colt Anal Douche has a ribbed nozzle designed to make cleaning your butt more fun. For a one-time use, you can also use a Fleet Saline Enema. Again, enemas and douches can be fun on their own terms, but they’re not at all necessary to enjoying safe analingus.

Dam It!

It’s a simple fact that the butt harbors bacteria. If you want to play as safely as possible, you can always dam it! A Dental Dam is a simple latex barrier, used during anal sex. It will allow you to enjoy kissing and tonguing your partner’s butt, while lowering your chances of encountering nasty bugs. Another alternative is a sheet of cling film (Saran Wrap has so many bedroom uses! Make sure to use the non-microwaveable variety.) Spread a thin sheet along your partner’s cheeks and crack, put a dollop of lube on the inside, and dive in.

Tease It!

If you or your partner are new to analingus, you may want to build up to the most intimate kiss. Try teasing them with your finger, or kissing your way along their buttcheeks. As with any kind of sex, it’s better to warm up before penetration. If your partner is new to the sensation, try turning up the heat by using your hands on their genitals. If your partner is male-bodied, play with his cock, while getting him used to the feeling of your tongue near his butt. If your partner is female-bodied, massage her clit, or pleasure her G-Spot with your finger.

Kiss It!

When your partner is relaxed and aroused, use your lips like you would on any other part of your partner’s body. Lick along the crack of their ass. Plant small kisses along their cheeks. Blow on their butthole. Stick your tongue where the sun don’t shine. Be sure to come up for air and check in with your partner. If you plan to make rimming a regular part of your sexual diet, you wanna make sure you get the recipe just right!

Keeping it Up

0

by thepleasurechest

It happens to the best of us. Whether you’re a shrinking violet or a priapic porn star, sometimes your cock just won’t cooperate. Can you keep up? Sometimes it’s hard. Or rather, it’s not hard. We know, it’s a bummer, but keep a stiff upper lip. We’ll tell you how to stiff up your dick. Here are some tips and tricks that just might work, when your cock won’t.

Foreplay

Slow down. Men can be very goal-oriented when it comes to sex. We’ve been taught our whole lives to compete, to win, to achieve. Performance anxiety can cause us to come too soon, or to lose our erections entirely. The best thing to do in these cases, is to stop focusing on your cock.

Give or get a massage. Keep some massage supplies handy. We’re partial to the Jimmyjane Afterglow Massage Candle which will help you set the mood with candlelight, while producing safe, warm oils that can be applied directly to the skin.

And then there’s kissing. Remember kissing? Not just your lover’s lips, but all over. To make things a little more tasty, apply something sweet to your lover’s skin, like Kama Sutra Honey Dust or Shunga Chocolate Body Paint.

Foreplay doesn’t have to be gentle. Adding a light spanking or some basic bondage to your repertoire can help restart your sex drive too.

Before you know it, you’ll forget all about your fickle dick. And when you stop thinking about it, it will usually come out to play, all on its own.

Do Your Kegels!

If you don’t have the control and endurance you like, it’s time to hit the sex gym. Perhaps you’ve heard of Kegel exercises. Well, they’re not just for women! Your PC muscles control the flow of semen and urine, and they affect the strength and quality of your erections. If you exercise them regularly, they’ll do right by you. The best way to find them is by stopping the flow of urine the next time you go to the bathroom. (We don’t recommend doing this every day, but it does help to isolate the muscles.) Once you’ve located the muscles, you simply need to practice tightening and releasing them. This can be done anywhere—while watching TV, sitting in traffic, or sitting through a boring lecture. AskMen.com suggests these simple exercises to get you started:

Exercise A

Sets: 3

Tighten and release repeatedly for 10 seconds.

Take a 10-second break between each set.

Exercise B

Sets: 10

Tighten and release repeatedly for 5 seconds.

Take a 5-second break between each set.

Exercise C

Sets: 3

Tighten and hold your PC muscle for 30 seconds.

Take a 30 second break between sets. Over time, work your way up to doing three sets of 15 to 20 minutes per day. Just as with weight-liting at the gym, you should eventually be able to increase your number of repetitions, up to 200 per session.

Aneros MGX

Using a prostate stimulator like the Aneros is a great way to do your Kegels. When inserted, the Aneros will gently rock back and forth between your prostate and your perineum, giving those PC muscles the workout they need. You’ll experience greater endurance and stronger erections. As a bonus, your orgasms will feel more amazing than ever.

Kegel strength is important, but your diet may also play a role. Check out Dr. Steven Lamm’s The Hardness Factor to learn how nutrition, supplements and exercise all play a role in maintaining stronger erections.

Pumping

If you find that pumping up your PC muscles isn’t quite the workout you need, try pumping your penis instead! Penis pumps use vacuum suction to draw blood into your penis, resulting in fuller and stronger erections.

If you’re new to pumping, try this Metal Suction Pump and pair it with the appropriate-sized cylinder, for erectile enhancement that doesn’t suck.

For a tutorial on pumping, check out this video.

Jimmyjane Iconic Ring

Cockrings

Cockrings. They’re not just for kinky folks. Whether leather, steel, rubber, neoprene, silicone or wood, a cockring is a great way to keep it up. A cockring is designed to fit snugly around your balls and cock. When you’re hard and the blood rushes in, the cockring helps keep it there, resulting in a stronger, fuller erection and a whole lotta staying power.

  • Classic leather cockrings look and feel sexy, but they can be hard to clean, and the snaps have been known to pinch. For the most comfortable fit, try something in rubber or silicone.  The Super Stretch Silicone cockring is a great starter cockring. Silicone doesn’t play well with silicone lube, so be sure to use a water-based lube with this toy.
  • A vibrating cockring can add extra stimulation for you and your partner, while keeping you rock hard. The Je Joue Mio is one of the best on the market, offering the stretch of silicone and the ability to recharge, for many repeat sessions. A more affordable alternative is the Jimmyjane Iconic Ring, which can be switched on to continuous mode, or set to activate by pressure. Fun!

Supplements

Unless you have a prescription for Viagra or Cialis (in which case, can your spare some?), you shouldn’t be taking a pill every time you want to have sex. There are times, however, when a little help doesn’t hurt. There are a number of all-natural supplements on the market. None of them have been evaluated by the FDA, but some folks swear by them.

Horny Goat Weed, otherwise known as epimedium has been a staple of Chinese medicine for 2,000 years, and is believed to be both an aphrodisiac and an enhancer of erectile function. You can usually find it wherever supplements are sold, and it’s often one of the main ingredients in enhancement formulas.

Yohimbe is another popular herb, widely used for its aphrodisiac properties. It’s usually sold at health food stores, and can also be found in combination with other herbs.

Many supplements offer a combination of these and other natural ingredients, packaged and marketed for the sex-enhancing properties.

A favorite here at the Pleasure Chest is the Blue Pill Silver Box, which is so popular that we can barely keep it in stock.

If drinks are on the menu, Rock Hard is the only supplement that claims it can be consumed with alcohol.

Desensitizers

When all else fails, and when you simply need a little extra help, you can always try a desensitizer. There are lubes, creams and condoms on the market, usually containing a solution of benzocaine or lidocaine, which will basically numb your cock. If you don’t mind the loss in surface sensation, these will certainly buy you some more time in the bedroom. But be careful to put a condom on top, unless you want to numb your partner too.

Choosing a Nipple Toy

0

by thepleasurechest

Whether you like them tweaked, pinched, pumped or bedazzled, your nipples can be a source of erotic pleasure. But how to choose between the dozens of products designed for you precious pink buds? Perk up! Here’s our guide to choosing a nipple toy.

What’s your fetish?

We think that there are three main reasons that people play with their nipples.

1) Adornment

Adorning or decorating your nipples can be an exciting way to increase their visual appeal, while making you feel sexy.

Nipple Enhancers & Bedazzling

As many women know, it’s not hard to get attention for your breasts. Even so, it can be fun to adorn and enhance your natural assets. Bodyperks Nipple Enhancers– made famous on Sex & the City– are discrete silicone nubs, designed to be worn under your bra and over your real nipples. If you’re planning to go topless, there are a wide array of pasties and bedazzling products allowing you to get creative and express your own style. The Bijoux Mimi Rhinestone Pasties are eye-catching and easy to use.

Micro Plier Nipple Clamps

2) Sensation Play

Nipples are extraordinarily sensitive, making them one of the main sites on the body for sensation play. While it’s assumed that the use of nipple clamps is primarily about pain, many people also find this activity pleasurable. All sensation exists on a continuum, and the toys designed for nipples also span the continuum from pleasant pressure to piercing pain.

The Wide World of Nipple Clamps

There are so many different sizes and styles of nipple clamps, that choosing among them can be truly intimidating. We’ve broken them down into toys which offer lighter or more distributed results to those which really get to the point!

Oooh!

  • Tweezer Clamps- This style of clamp offers the lightest and most erotic sensation. The level of intensity is easy to adjust with the sliding ring, and the pinch is distributed across the most surface area. These Sex Kitten Nips are a great choice.
  • Broad-tip- With a broad tip, you’ll feel the pinch spread across a greater surface area. The sensation will be less sharp than that produced by toys with a smaller tip. These Broad Tip Adjustable Nipple Clamps are a good choice for this kind of play. If you want an even more versatile toy capable of delivering similar results, the Press Nipple Clamps can adapt to almost any size or shape of nipple, and offer maximum adjustability.
  • Snake Bite Kit- Though invented for sucking the venom out of snake bites, these have enjoyed popularity with nipple players. Simply squeeze the air out of the rubber cylinder and attach to your nipple. Like pumping, this creates a pleasurable sensation, drawing blood into the nipple and increasing sensitivity. Snake Bite Kits are also fun for attaching to the clitoris. Wherever you choose to put it, a little vibration can make it feel even better.

Ouch!

  • Alligator Clamps- These have “teeth” that look just like a gator’s open mouth. They usually have more bite than other kinds of clamps. In some cases, they can even draw blood. To avoid this, you may want to try the style that have rubber tips. These Adjustable Gator Clamps offer the best of both worlds.
  • Clover Clamps- Also known as Butterfly Clamps, these deliver a focused and intense sensation. They’re also designed to tighten when the chain is tugged, making for an interactive experience with your favorite dom.
  • Plier Clamps- Just like the name implies, these are like mini pliers for your nipples. They are not for beginners! The adjustment knob gives you the ability to build up the intensity.

  • Clothespins- It’s true. You can try nipple play with common wooden clothespins. You’ll probably discover that the tension on these differs widely, but they can be an excellent and inexpensive way to try sensation play.

3) Enlargement

For many people, bigger is better, and since nipples are erectile tissue, they can be stretched and enlarged, to increase their visual appeal. The process of enlargement can also be pleasurable, and result in greater nipple sensitivity.

Nipple Bulb

Pumping & Enlargement Products

Pumps work by creating a suction vacuum around your nipple, stretching the tissue and drawing blood into it. If you’re just starting out, this Nipple Bulb is the ideal choice. It comes with four rubber rings designed to encircle the nipple and keep its shape. If you decide to make a serious commitment to enlarging your nipples, you can invest in a pumping system. These Nipple Cylinders come in three different sizes and can be attached to a pump. Make sure to pick a size that’s closest to (though bigger than) your current size. This way, you can increase your size gradually.

Weights ‘n Things

If your nipples are begging for more, remember that you can also add weight to your clamps. These Steel Weights come in 6oz. and 10oz. sizes, and can be attached to most nipple and cock toys with a D-ring. For added excitement, you can also get nipple clamps with built-in bullet vibes, combining pinch with vibration.

Tips for Using Nipple Toys

Remember that choosing the right toy is only part of discovering the joys of sensation play.

Location- You’ll likely discover that where you place the clamp is a big factor in the resulting sensation. In general, the smaller the surface area being clamped, the more intense the pain. If you want a more distributed effect, pull your nipple out, and place the clamp closer to the base of your nipple. If you really want to feel the pinch, place the clamp closer to the tip.

Duration- As with most sensation play, you will experience an endorphin rush, as your body responds to the pain of the clamps. After awhile, you may adapt to the clamps. This can be deceptive! Remember that the most intense pain you’re likely to experience during nipple play comes when you remove the clamps and the blood rushes back into the nipple. The longer you leave the clamp in place, the more intense the feeling when you finally remove it.

Let’s Tribate

0

by thepleasurechest

The ancient Romans had a word (borrowed from Latin, naturally) for women who fucked other women: tribas. Thus, two or more ladyfuckers were sometimes called tribades and the word “tribadism,”—meaning to rub one’s pussy against a partner’s body—was born! End of history lesson. Let’s look at the many ways to get off like the tribades of Ancient Rome.

Why Tribate?

Anyone who has ever “dry humped” or done the grind on a dance floor knows that tribadism is not exactly a lesbian secret. This kind of play can expand your choices in the bedroom, no matter what your gender and orientation are. Here are some reasons to try:

  • As foreplay
  • As a safer sex alternative to intercourse
  • As an alternative to intercourse, when the cock (or dildo) just won’t cooperate
  • As an alternative to direct stimulation, for women with especially sensitive clits
  • As a clothes-on (or off) quickie anywhere, anytime

Knees, Thighs & Hips, Oh My!

Rubbing one’s pussy against a partner’s body is the most common style of tribadism. This allows the receiver to get clitoral stimulation, while both partners enjoy skin to skin contact. Knobby knees and fleshy thighs are excellent spots for doing the grind. If you want to try playing with one partner on top, rubbing against the belly, hips or pubic bone can be an exciting position. Flip your partner on her belly, straddle her back and rub yourself against her tailbone. The more positions you try, the more likely you are to find one that maximizes pleasure for both of you.

“Scissoring.”

Scissoring involves two women rubbing their vulvas against each other to achieve orgasm. The term has a somewhat negative connotation among lesbians, as the practice is believed to be more popular in straight porn (and in straight dude fantasies) than among lesbians themselves. Even so, this is an enjoyable position for many people. It can be done with one partner on her back and the other on her side, or with both partners on their sides. As this is a challenging position for getting off, you can also use a vibrator for additional clitoral stimulation. The We-Vibe Touch Plus is a great fit for sharing with a partner.

Add Some Lube

Tribadism works through friction. But just as in other kinds of sex, lube can enhance pleasure and minimize discomfort. If you’re getting ready to rub your thigh against your lady’s nethers, spread some lube around. If your partner is producing her own lube, gather some with your fingers and spread it around too. Slippery fun!

Play With the Clit

Since tribadism is an indirect form of stimulation, you may need to get your hands on your clit or your partner’s clit if you want to achieve orgasm. Make enough room for your hands or for a vibrator to reach her clit, to give additional stimulation while rubbing against her.

Consult the Sexperts

If you want to discover more positions and techniques, try consulting The Whole Lesbian Sex Book. Don’t forget though, that your best sexpert is your own partner. Find out what she likes!

Basic Toy TLC

0

by thepleasurechest

This is a general guide to help improve and even lengthen the happy life of your new sex toy. For instructions on caring for each type of sex toy material, see Sex Toy Materials, Care, and Cleaning.

Wash toys before their first use and immediately following each subsequent use.

Always remove batteries when storing vibrating toys.

Know whether your toy is water-resistant (“splash proof”) or water-proof. Only water-proof toys should be submerged in water.

Be sure the rubber ring around the battery compartment of your water-resistant or water-proof toy is present, intact, and tight. Do not use it in water if it is not.

A bit of electrical tape around the wire or cord can strengthen and protect wired toys.

Store porous toys separately in plastic bags.

Never excessively pull on or use the cord of a vibrating bullet as a “handle”. If you plan to insert it, put it inside a condom.

Sex Toy Materials, Care & Cleaning

1

by thepleasurechest

Non-porous materials – May be shared safely after proper cleaning

Aluminum is a lighter-weight metal that warms quickly to body temperature but can also be cooled or warmed with water for temperature play. It can be used with all types of lubricant. Clean with soap and water.

Ceramic toys are double-fired and covered with body-safe glaze to be non-porous, hygienic, and durable. They may be warmed or cooled with water for temperature play and can be used with any type of lube. Clean with soap and water or isopropyl alcohol and air dry.

Glass can be used with all types of lube and washed with soap and water. Never use hollow glass, do not expose glass to extreme heat or cold, and discontinue use it if it becomes cracked or chipped.

Medical-grade plastic and Elastomed are non-porous and easy to clean. They are compatible with all types of lube and can be cleaned with soap and water.

Pyrex is glass that is more resistant to impact and extreme temperature. It can be sterilized by washing with soap and water, boiling, or in the dishwasher.

Silicone is hypoallergenic, hygienic, and durable. To clean, wash with soap and water. Toys without electrical components can be cleaned by boiling for three minutes or on the top rack of your dishwasher with no detergent. Silicone toys should not be used with silicone lube.

Stainless steel toys are prized for their hardness, heft, and hygiene. Try cooling them down or warming them up with water for temperature play. They can be used with all types of lubricant. Clean with soap and water, in the dishwasher, or with a 10% bleach solution.

Wood used in high-quality dildos is coated with various (depending on the brand) food-safe and in some cases medical-grade finishes that make them non-porous and easy to clean. Read labels on how to use and care for individual products, but in general they can be used with all types of lube and should be washed with soap and water or alcohol. Do not boil and retire or discard if deep scratches occur.

Porous materials – Are not safe to share without a condom, as they may transmit STIs and harbor bacteria and yeast.

Acrylic can be used with all types of lube and can be cleaned with soap and warm water.

Cyberskin (also sold as Ultraskin, Softskin, and UR3) is very delicate and must be used with water-based lube only. Most require a gentle and thorough wash with soap and water and air-dry, but see individual manufacturer for specific instructions. To maintain the feel of Cyberskin and keep it from getting sticky, powder it lightly with cornstarch (never use talcum powder on or near the genitals) and use a plastic bag for storage. Condom use is highly recommended.

Elastomer and TPR (Thermo Plastic Rubber)are durable, hypo-allergenic soft plastics free from phthalates*. Use water-based lube and wash them with soap and water or toy cleaner.

Hard plastic (yes, it’s porous!) can be used with any type of lube and cleaned with soap and water or toy cleaner.

Jelly-Rubber is a soft rubber that contains latex and phthalates*. To clean, wash with soap and warm water or toy cleaner. Condom use is highly recommended.

Leather can be cleaned with soap and water, with leather cleaner, or a rubbing alcohol solution. Once leather is cleaned, it should be allowed to air dry for at least 24 hours. You may want to use leather conditioner to keep the leather soft and supple. Never soak leather.

Neoprene can be washed with mild soap and water or toy cleaner and allowed to air dry fully.

Nitrile is a latex-free synthetic rubber compound that is now used in many cock rings and gloves as an alternative for those with latex and other sensitivities. Dispose of all gloves after use for sanitary reasons. Clean nitrile rings with mild soap and water or toy cleaner.

Nylon can be washed in the washing machine on the delicate cycle or by hand. Using a lingerie bag in the wash and air-drying can protect straps and help them keep their shape.

Silagel, Silicone blends, and Vinyl toys can be cleaned with soap and water or toy cleaner. Although they contain lower levels of potentially problematic chemicals than jelly-rubber, they are porous and condom use is still recommended.

*Phthalates (pronounced “thal-ates”) are plastic softenersthat are known to have carcinogenic properties. We do not recommend inserting them into the vagina or anus, the most absorbent areas of the body, without a condom.

Safer Ways to Sexy

0

by thepleasurechest

A basic guide to safe sex. See How To Pick the Perfect Condom for more in-depth info.

Condoms, Gloves, and Dams are a must-have for safer sex with partners and toys.

Never use oil-based lube with latex condoms, gloves, or dams.

For those with latex sensitivities, polyurethane or polyisoprene condoms and dams, plastic wrap, and nitrile gloves are great alternatives. Polyurethane and nitrile can be used with oil-, silicone-, and water-based lube. Use only water-based or silicone-based lube with polyisoprene.

Be sure your plastic wrap is the non-microwavable type, as microwave wrap has tiny holes and will not protect from infection.

To create a slippery sensation and increase pleasure for the receiver, use gloves to apply lube to the area beneath the dam or plastic wrap before cunnilingus or analingus.

Lube is actually a major player in the safer sex arena. It can not only increase the quality and duration of penetrative play, but makes sex safer for both partners, providing a slick cushion that prevents tearing.

Never use lubricants that contain the spermicide Nonoxynol-9 because it can irritate the skin and actually make you more susceptible to STIs.

Use extra lube for anal sex and never use oil-based lube with a latex condom.

Use fresh condoms, gloves, or dams when switching between partners or from the anal area to the vaginal area.

Prostate (P-spot) Basics

2

by thepleasurechest

The prostate, also known as the P-spot or male G-spot, is a gland located between the rectum and the bladder. During arousal the prostate fills with fluid which helps semen travel through the urethra upon ejaculation. The spot can be felt through a man’s anus as an area similar in size to a walnut. Stimulation of this area heightens pleasure for many men.

To locate the P-spot, insert a finger or fingers 2-3 inches into anus and press gently towards the belly button using a milking or come-hither motion. It helps to use lube and for the receiver to be very relaxed and comfortable.

Toys with a gentle curve aid in solo or partner P-spot exploration.

Angle and position are key during partner penetration. If a man is lying on his back, angle fingers or toy upward. If he is bent over, gently angle downward. Use a pillow and/or a little imagination to find the best way to hit the P-spot during anal penetration with a penis.

Bodies will respond differently to different types of stimulation, so experiment with pressure, rubbing, tapping, and vibration of the p-spot to find what feels best.

Studies have shown that regular prostate massage can help ward off cancer by increasing blood flow to the area.

How to Pick the Perfect Condom

1

by thepleasurechest

With the help of some innovative new products, materials, and styles, safe sex can be sexier (and more sensational) than ever. Condoms come in a variety of styles, materials, sizes, and even textures. Never use oil-based lube with latex condoms, gloves, or dams.

okamotoTraditional Condoms: Standard thickness and size for those who like a classic condom. Example: Trojan Non-Lubricated

Thinner Condoms: Extra to ultra-thin for that “skin to skin” feeling, yet tested to meet condom safety standards. Example: Okamoto .004

Flared Condoms: Wider at the head for extra penis stimulation and added friction and sensation for both partners. Example: ONE Pleasure Plus

Non-Latex Condoms: Great alternative for people with latex sensitivities, these also have no latex odor or taste. Today’s most popular latex alternatives are polyurethane (which can actually be used with any type of lube) and polyisoprene, which has more stretch for a more natural sensation, but can only be used with water-based and silicone-based lubricants. Both protect against pregnancy and STIs. Naturalamb condoms, which are made from part of a lamb’s intestine, protect against pregnancy but do not protect against STIs such as HIV and herpes. Example: Lifestyles Skyn (Polyisoprene)

skynSensation Condoms: Can intensify pleasure for both partners. Ribbed and studded condoms add titillating texture, warming and cooling condoms add a “tingle,” and flavored condoms are great for blow-jobs. Example: Trustex Flavored Condoms

Sized Condoms: Provide a more customized fit for larger or smaller-sized men. This will make the condom more comfortable to wear and can help solve breakage or slippage issues. Example: Trojan Magnum XL

Variety Packs: Can’t decide? Try a variety pack. It’s the perfect way to try something new or spice up safe sex. Example: ONE Mixed Pleasures
