September is also our Anniversary month and we'll be celebrating 48 years of sex positivity and sharing pleasure. Since 1971, the Pleasure Chest has supported our community's sexual growth and exploration by pioneering a sex positive culture, with an emphasis on education, enjoyment, and inclusivity. What to expect: Our classes are strictly educational in content and delivered in a fun, yet informative lecture style format. Our Certified Sex Specialists cover everything from anatomy and positions to a wide range of toys, tips, and techniques. We also have rotating roster of outside Sex Educators and Authors who teach with us every quarter including Midori, Tina Horn, Tristan Taormino, Joan Price, August McLaughlin, Dr. Jess, Davia Frost, and more.

Classes are held inside our LA, NY (Upper East Side and West Village), and CHI (Lincoln) locations. We even offer these really cool YES!, MAAAAAAAAYBE, NO.' sheets for you to fill out to discover more about your desires! Take them home and fill them out by yourself or with a partner. Treat it like a to-do list and plow through it or just put it on the fridge as a sexy suggestion to explore later. Maybe your partner will be pleasantly surprised to know you're into some advanced anal or happy to know you like to take it slow. You can even work filling out these forms into your foreplay. ALL THE QUESTIONS

Ask yourself if you really know ALL the things your fave toy(s) can do? Or the newest toys making breakthroughs in pleasure? Every month there are new advances in technology and design that we are excited to share with you, and many different ways to use the toys you already own. Which lubes work best with which toys and with your own body? What are some safety tips or safer sex barriers to incorporate into your play? What is the difference between glass, wood, silicone, stainless steel, and various plastic compositions? We'll break it ALL down in an easy to understand format. Have questions? Great, we've got answers!

Not only do we break down the anatomy basics in every class, but we also illustrate specific positions to better aid you in achieving your goals (whatever they may be), and toys, books, and products to get you there. We also open up the floor for a Q & A with our Certified Sex Educators towards the end of each class. No topic is off-limits or too taboo. We encourage all levels to come and learn something new! Have a stupid question? Want to know if people really buy THAT? Yep, and we even have a class for that.

There’s no shame in our game (nor should there be!) Sex and pleasure are our playing field and we invite you to join. We supply the pens, paper and comfy chairs, all we ask is that you bring...

• Judgments (Please do not 'yuck someone else’s yum')
• Dogs - We love them, but not necessarily in our space. (Only Service Dogs welcome.)
• Rude or insensitive comments (there’s enough of that in the world).
