With Sex Expo NYC just around the corner, we decided to sit down with some of our favorite educators to get their thoughts on sex education and falling in lust with the right sex toy. Today, we're talking with ropedojo.com founder, author and educator Midori.

PLEASURE CHEST: Did you learn about Sex Ed in school? Was it helpful?
MIDORI: I grew up in Japan, where we got to watch a great little sex ed anime created by Tezuka Osamu. And my family taught me about sex ed from the perspective of genetic diversity and evolutionary biology. My experiences was very shame free and it was quite positive…. I wish more people had access positive and informative early sex ed.
PC: Do you remember the first sex toy you fell in lust with?
M: The simple original Rabbit vibe. Pink and cute with lovely clit vibing ears!
PC: What was your first time in a sex toy store like?
M: Giggly!
PC: What inspired you to create Forte Femme, your dominance intensive for women?
M: While technique based workshops abound, there’s a critical lack of psychologically nuanced and life-tested explorations of compassionate dominance and erotic confidence. ForteFemme came into existence because of the education I wished I’d received
