Additional Notes

Start with the candle a minimum of 36" from the skin, which allows the wax to cool before making contact with the body. The closer to the skin you drip the wax, the hotter it will be; the further from the skin you drip the wax, the cooler it will be. We recommend testing before playtime. Avoid wax play around the head, hair and genitals. External use only.

These candles are for someone who is into wax play and enjoys it. The wax from these lit candles will burn. If you are looking for something less stingy then go for a soy massage candle. That way you can start off light and work your way up to these. The wax is tedious to clean up so be mindful of how and where you use it.

Very Pretty Low Heat Candles. Vibrant colors. Please read safety instructions if this is your first time.

Like other reviewers, I am also confused why Doc Johnson has dubbed these specifically "Japanese" style wax play candles, and like other reviewers I found these candles *extremely* hot. I'm relatively experienced with wax play and different types of wax, and even holding these almost 36 inches above the skin it was searing. While I do like the candles, I would say: proceed with caution, try them on yourself first and quite far away from the skin, and not recommended for beginners to wax play.

    - definitely a toy to test on yourself before using on partners. If you drip the wax close to the skin, the wax is HOT; if you drip the wax further away from the skin, the wax is cooler. Experiment with tilting the wax from different heights. Great for mixing with a blindfold or bondage. I agree with previous reviewers - the packaging makes me a little uncomfortable.

These are some intense drip candles, and tend to run much hotter than most standard paraffin candles. A great sting for those looking for some bite, but it may not be suitable for everyone. Not certain what makes the Japanese Drip Candles "Japanese" in any way. Solely recommended to the the experienced.
