this long, slim, piece of rattan is not to be messed with. canes are notorious for being some of the meanest impact play toys out there and for valid reason-- they STING and are very very mean-- masochists either love them or hate them. This rattan one is light weight and flexible which is why i like it. however the material can dry out if left untouched for a while which requires some maintenance which i didn't learn about until i researched it myself. Would not recommend this to a beginner but with some skills under your belt this can be a pleasantly cruel toy that leaves extraordinary marks.
